Hekmatullah Faqiree Chairman of the Board of Supervisors Mr. Hekmatullah Faqiree is a distinguished finance executive, entrepreneur, and strategic business leader with extensive experience in financial management, corporate governance, accounting, compliance, and investment. As the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Lamen Microfinance Institution (LMI), he provides strategic leadership and oversight, en-suring that the institution operates in accordance with sound governance principles, finan-cial sustainability, and Shariah-compliant microfinance practices. Alongside his leadership in the financial sector, Mr. Faqiree is a dynamic young investor who has made significant contributions to Afghanistan's private sector and economic devel-opment.

Through his entrepreneurial initiatives and investments across multiple industries, he has actively supported business growth, job creation, and sustainable economic opportu-nities. Mr. Faqiree currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Haji Khan Mohammad Ex-change & MSP Co., where he oversees strategic planning, financial operations, regulatory compliance, and organizational development. Throughout his professional career, he has successfully held leadership and management positions in reputable financial institutions and private companies, including Maiwand Bank, Baheer Printing & Packaging Co. Ltd., and Mobile Business Center. His professional expertise encompasses financial planning and analysis, budgeting, internal controls, risk management, compliance, operational excel-lence, corporate governance, and institutional leadership. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Kateb University and has continuously advanced his professional knowledge through internationally recognized qual-ifications and certifications. He holds the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Master Certi-fication, QuickBooks Certification, and the Certified Professional Compliance Officer (CPCO) credential. In addition, Mr. Faqiree has successfully passed four papers of the As-sociation of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification, demonstrating his strong commitment to international standards in accounting, auditing, financial reporting, taxation, and corporate finance. His pursuit of globally recognized professional education reflects his dedication to continuous learning and excellence in financial leadership. Mr. Faqiree is fluent in Pashto, Dari, English, and Urdu, enabling him to communicate ef-fectively with diverse stakeholders, development partners, regulators, investors, and busi-ness communities.
