Sangar Rahimi Shareholder | Entrepreneur | Investor | Founder of Lamen Microfinance Institution Sangar Rahimi, son of Abdul Basir Rahimi, was born on 3 April 1991 in Bahrabad Village, Sirkanay District, Kunar Province, Afghanistan. He completed his secondary education with distinction at Sayed Noor Mohammad Shamini High School. In 2018, he graduated with honors from Jahan University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Law, Judiciary, and Prosecution. With more than 15 years of experience in business, investment, and private sector development, Mr. Rahimi has actively participated in various commercial, productive, and investment activities. Throughout his professional career, he has gained extensive experience in business management, strategic investment, financial planning, market development, and entrepreneurship. As an entrepreneur and investor, Mr. Rahimi has consistently focused on investing in sectors that contribute to economic growth, employment creation, and community development. His professional approach is based on integrity, transparency, innovation, sustainable growth, and responsible business practices. In addition to his commercial activities, Mr. Rahimi has significant experience and investments in the agriculture and livestock sectors. He has been actively involved in modern agricultural initiatives, agricultural production, livestock development, and agribusiness projects. He believes that agriculture and livestock are among the fundamental pillars for Afghanistan’s economic development, food security, rural empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods. With the vision of strengthening the private sector and providing meaningful financial services to Afghan communities, Mr. Sangar Rahimi established Lamen Microfinance Institution (LMI) in 2024. The institution was founded with the mission of delivering transparent, reliable, and Shariah-compliant financial services to individuals, entrepreneurs, and underserved communities across Afghanistan. Through Islamic financing products including Murabaha, Mudarabah, Musharakah, and Qard Hasan, Lamen Microfinance Institution aims to support micro, small, and medium enterprises, farmers, traders, and entrepreneurs by providing ethical financial solutions that promote financial inclusion, economic empowerment, and sustainable development. As the Founder and Shareholder of LMI, Mr. Rahimi continues to contribute his business experience, investment vision, and leadership capabilities toward developing an institution that creates economic opportunities, supports entrepreneurship, and serves communities through responsible Islamic finance. Mr. Rahimi remains committed to promoting private sector growth, encouraging entrepreneurship, supporting productive investments, and contributing positively to Afghanistan’s economic development through innovation, responsible investment, and social commitment.
